Very Creative Creation's Etsy Shop : Vintage + Crafty Creations = Love

Very Creative Creations are Coming Out of Very Creative Creation!
This gives a whole new meaning to Boardwalk, don't you think? A steal at $18!
I just love Etsy and vintage shops. What about a handmade seller who uses vintage? Gotta love that. Take Ann Marie Greco of VeryCreativeCreation from Rochester, New York. Her Etsy shop is filled with jewelry, stuffed animals, and cool things all made from upcycled vintage objects. I adore her dice earrings and her domino bracelets! These Very Creative Creations are so lovely, and breathe new life into something that would otherwise be forgotten. I asked Ann Marie to talk to me a little about her shop!

THE INTERVIEW!

Q: Why do you love using vintage components so much in your jewelry ?

A: I am basically a hoarder at heart and hate to see things get thrown out when they are no longer perfect. Heck I'm not perfect and don't want to be thrown out. I love the style, workmanship, and history behind each piece.

Bingo Bracelet, $18

Q: What is your motivation?

A: To provide a new life for a piece of history, to keep memories live for someone else, to keep green places for my children to play in.

Fork Earrings, $15

Q: What is something you want people to know?

A:  That just because an item is not perfect does not mean that it no longer has a function. That memories can be preserved in newly created items just as people in the past have done for centuries. That re-use, recycle, re-purpose is not something new but a re-branding of what people have done for ions.

Button Bracelet, with glass beads, incorporates lots of upcycled items, $35.

Q: What is your favorite piece?

A:  I guess I really don't have one. I love them all but if I have to choose one or two.... my fishing bunny who is my avatar and the amethyst angel necklace and bracelet set.

Fishing Bunny is upcycled and oh so cute! $35

Angels Amethyst Geode Slice Necklace Bracelet Set, $180

Kudos to Ann Marie for reusing, reclaiming and repurposing, and offering vintage components in the mix!  Catch up with Ann Marie:
