Spotlight On Great Vintage Jewelry on Etsy 

I figured it's time to do a two-part vintage jewelry series on Etsy. For the first part, I will be highlighting the Etsy vintage shop IFindUSeekVintage  . The shop is nicely curated with Vintage and Antique Jewelry, Art Deco Jewelry, Victorian Jewelry, Mid Century and vintage necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches and rings ranging from the 1800s to the 1980.

Rare to find such a nice Victorian Mourning Brooch circa 1890's in such good condition, $47.50.

The motto in the shop is , "Eclectic treasures for your guilty pleasures."  What is wonderful here, is that the items are competitively priced. Most Art Deco and Victorian examples I've found are more expensive and not as good a shape. The shop owner is out of Chicago and kudos to her, for offering the really unusual, beautiful at great prices.

Mostly the shop is chock full of pre-1940 items but you'll find hand picked items later than that if they are hip and cool enough to make the cut.  At Vintage Chalet, we feel this shop is definitely worth "Favoriting" on Etsy and adding to your shopping list.

Vintage Clothing at AnnieRose Vintage

$65 someone buy me this, quick!

Annie Rose Vintage has a great style all her own. She finds the chic and hip bohemian style vintage clothing and sometimes adorns it with her own touch.  She says, "Upcycled and Vintage Clothing with a tattered shabby bohemian twist."  Lynn's beautiful eco-friendly vintage finds are often embellished, refashioned and upcycled for you!Check out some of these finds from this seller's Etsy shop!

Lynn is from Dickinson, Texas and her southern belle style shows in these lovely creations.  I would be privileged to wear one of her items. They are couture all their own and her items sell rather quickly making them a hot commodity. In fact no sooner did I post up a dress on the Etsy Recycler's Guild site last week did it sell out of her store.

$62 and so worth it this tunic top dress.

Lynn pushes the envelope on design. In fact I think if she entered one of those "American's Next Top Designer" shows she could win.  She envisions something for clothing like no other designer. You really need to tell anyone you know who loves vintage clothing or one of a kind pretty dresses, jackets, or blouses.  Not all clothing does she upcycle, some vintage she finds are just lovely on their own!

1940s Red Iron Industrial Metal Wooden Handle real plug princess Chicagoland 1946 - $22.00

OH SO CUTE. A great doorstop or something to hold books in place. Not sure if this is a travel iron, or was a toy , but it's a heavy tiny iron. From wood red handle to silver base it's approx 4.5", the iron bottom is approx 5.5" in length. Has original plug which is in good shape. I had it plugged in and it appears to work ; but based on age I would not recommend using it without proper warning......

Industrial Furniture for Shabby, Farm or Mod Decor

I really don't think you can go wrong having a bit of industrial furniture in your home. I for one wouldn't mind having a new piece for the sake of housing favorite collectibles or antiques.  I know some of us worry that something industrial won't "go" with the present decor, but perhaps you may need to break some rules. Out with the old "everything has to match " theory and in with the new "anything goes."

Sometimes the perfect decor happens when you throw something together that doesn't belong. The lest things you'd consider making a marriage of, try it out. Be daring, be unique, or if worse comes to worse, steal a few tips from Etsy!  One thing you must remember is that you don't HAVE to keep the same eras interlined.  Mid century modern can mix with the twenties if you let it!  You CAN break all the rules!  It's your style corner today!

They have a Lefton style look to them but they are indeed made in Japan. How's this for this retro?  How cute would they be in your vintage kitchen? Keep a set and give a set away, for 8 you are paying $75....a far cry from their original price, but who puts the price on coolness?

Sometimes refurbishing something in white paint can really make a huge difference in your decorating. I applied this theory when redoing my living room when I (gasp now) painted the old 1927 dark wooden window frames with flat white paint, and added some shabby white paint to the picture frames throughout the room. I have to say, it looked like a whole new living room. Just goes to show that adding some white accents or antiques in your home may look fabulous!
