SHABBY CHAIRS:
Shabby chairs in tiny sizes aren't just great to decorate your home, put planters on, but try hanging on the wall as a tiny shelf like they did.... available for $45 from
Blue Bonnet Fields.
Another option is to find old wooden swings, and mount them to the wall.
OLD FACTORY ROLLING CARTS:
I first saw one like this on the HGTV show Cash and Cari, but since then I've been finding them all over. They range in price from $300-$1500 and are just awesome. Often wooden with metal adornments, sometimes with one shelf or two, in all shapes and sizes, the trademark cast iron or metal heavy duty wheels will show you their age and authenticity. This one above, is a huge steal at $335 from
wesbenn.
MILK CANS:
Call me old fashioned but nothing says industrial farmhouse than an old milk can. You used to see these everywhere, but over time they've become rusted out and harder to find. This one above is a real steal featuring the popular Borden's milk company and is priced at $30 at
TwinAcres. I personally would love this sitting in the home, outside of the home, or with cattails in it.
SAP BUCKETS and CANS:
I love old sap buckets. Common in New England, they can be found in all shapes and sizes. Drill a hole in the top for easy hanging, and put your kitchen utensils in there. You can easily refurbish the outsides with a coat of Rustoleum paint, and as you can see, this one above was made into a cute little recycle bin or trash can with vintage buttons. Available for $19 at
RetroChalet.
VINTAGE TOOL CADDY or TOOLBOXES:
I love these for bringing fresh cut flowers or herbs from the garden into the house. You can find them shabby, small, large, one handle or two, and simply lovely and chic. This one, available at
RollingHillsVintage for only $22!
